After making a successful debut in the field of electric scooters, Ola Electric will soon shift its focus to the production of electric cars, said Bhavish Agarwal, CEO of the company.
The company has launched two electric scooters, the S1 and S1 Pro. These scooters arrived in the Indian market on the occasion of the 75th Independence Day of India. Speaking on the occasion, Agarwal expressed his determination to make India a leader in the production of electric two-wheelers. Now he said that in the next two years, Ola will be producing electric cars.
At present, Ola does not manufacture or sell electric cars. However, Ola Cabs, a subsidiary of Ola Electric is using electric cars in many cities across the country, to serve its passengers. Ola is also running a charging centers for electric vehicles.
Agarwal also called on investors to invest heavily in electric vehicle manufacturing projects to make India a leading electric vehicle manufacturing hub.
