Gurugram – Samsung’s Galaxy M smartphones have met with unprecedented success in India, with the company selling more than 2 million units of Galaxy M10, M20 and M30 devices in a short period. Designed for young millennials and Gen Z consumers, Galaxy M was conceptualized from ground up in India, and debuted on Amazon.in and Samsung.com in February this year.

The success of Galaxy M, Samsung’s only online exclusive range of smartphones, will help the company double its online market share this year, said Asim Warsi, Senior Vice-President, Mobile Business, Samsung India.

“Samsung India’s online growth is being propelled by Galaxy M series, along with Galaxy A and Galaxy S series, which are also available across online channels. Our aim is to maintain 25% value share of the handset industry in the online space,” he added.

Samsung is now readying its fourth Galaxy M smartphone – Galaxy M40 – which is likely to launch in the first half of June. Galaxy M40 will be the most premium M smartphone, with prices expected to be around Rs. 20,000. Galaxy M40 will launch with Snapdragon processor and Samsung’s Infinity O display technology. India will be the first country to get Galaxy M40.

Samsung thanked consumers for making Galaxy M such a successful brand in India.
