The Maharashtra State Board of Technical Education Mumbai awarded ‘A’ Grade i.e. ”Excellent ” Performance in Academic Monitoring from the year 2011 to 2019-20. IOP is awarded with National Pharmacy Week (NPW) “General Championship Trophy” for consecutive eleven times. IOP is only Diploma in Pharmacy institute in India which is accredited by National Board of Accreditation (NBA) New Delhi in last decades. IOP has an excellent infrastructure like digital library , E-laboratories, smart AC classrooms with international standards, highly qualified, and dedicated faculty and staff, , who are committed to provide an outstanding educational experience to the students. India is moving ahead in the direction of e-Learning. E-Learning allows distant far students for face-to-face interaction. IOP teachers with collaborative software, good e-Content, computer aided assessment and learning management systems already engaging students in the covid 19 pandemic.
Maharashtra Cosmopolitan Education Society’s ‘Institute of Pharmacy’ has organized one week Online Faculty Development Program on “Effective use of ICT tools for Teaching and Learning Process and online Assessment” for pharmacy Teachers across Maharashtra from 20th to 25th April 2020. Objective of this program was to pull up the Pharmacy Teachers towards digital world .In this pandemic covid19 its our responsibility use online platform and increase the interest of the students and teachers towards the technology. Dr.V.N Jagtap, Principal, M.C.E’s IOP and his team came up with the trending idea of online faulty development program through live YouTube streaming and got the registration of 1100 teachers. The program is sponsored by Maharashtra Board State of Technical Education (MSBTE). YouTube channel of MCE’s IOP got more than 30,000 views within one week.
Dr.PA Inamdar, President, M.C.E. Society inaugurated the program and said only participation in faculty development program is not important but such training will be useful to make an impression of new technology in the future. He also congratulated the Institute of Pharmacy for accepting this innovative challenge.
