K Kavita arrested by ED, will be interrogated in Delhi; Action in money laundering case

Former Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao's daughter K Kavitha has been arrested by the Enforcement Directorate (ED). The ED team searched K Kavitha's residence before taking her into custody. she will be brought to Delhi for questioning. ED sources said that he will be interrogated in Delhi.

K Kavitha, daughter of former Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar, has been arrested by the Enforcement Directorate (ED). According to the report of news agency PTI, ED's action has been taken in the money laundering case. Kavitha was first detained after searches were conducted at the premises of the BRS leader in Hyderabad on Friday. Later Kavita was arrested. ED sources said that officials of the central agency will interrogate Kavita in Delhi.

Lawyer's statement regarding action against former CM's daughter
After Kavita's arrest, lawyer Bharat Kumar said that he did not have detailed information regarding the ED action. He said that despite contacting him, he was not informed by the Enforcement Directorate officials about the action and search.

Claims of connection between excise policy and group of liquor traders
In earlier media reports, ED had claimed that Kavita was associated with 'South Group' of liquor traders. These lobbies were trying to play a bigger role under the Delhi Excise Policy.
