In a deeply saddening incident, four members of a single family have died by suicide in Kasegaon, located in the Pandharpur taluka of Maharashtra. The tragedy occurred during the auspicious occasion of Ashadhi Ekadashi, leaving the local community in shock.
According to police reports, Monali Asbe, along with her two children — Aishwarya and Kartik — ended their lives by jumping into a well, reportedly following a domestic dispute. The incident took place on Sunday.
Upon learning of the deaths, Monali’s husband, Mhamaaji Asbe, also died by suicide by hanging himself on Monday morning.
With the deaths of both parents and their two children within a span of 24 hours, the entire family has been wiped out in this heartbreaking event. A case has been registered at the Pandharpur Taluka Police Station, and further investigation is underway.
Authorities and locals alike have expressed deep sorrow over the loss, especially as it occurred during a significant religious festival.
