'World class cinema and entertainment center to be set up in the state'

Mumbai is the economic and cultural capital of the country. In Mumbai, various experiments are being done in cinema, drama, advertisements, serials, animation, folk art. Cultural Affairs Minister Amit Deshmukh has announced that the Department of Cultural Affairs will take initiative to set up a world class cinema and incubation center in Maharashtra to give a platform to all these arts and give them a chance to present their work and help the innovators.
Marathi Screen play writing Camp was organized by Maharashtra Film, Theater, Cultural Development Corporation and National Film Development Corporation. While participating in the camp online, Cultural Affairs Minister Deshmukh said that the state government is making efforts to uplift the entertainment sector.
Efforts of the government to give industry status to the entertainment sector
Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray himself is a good photographer and his art is well known. As the artists of Maharashtra as well as drama, cinema, literature, folk art are all close to their hearts, the state government will provide financial assistance of Rs. 5,000 each to 56,000 artists in the state to uplift the artists in this field. Deshmukh also said that the government is making efforts to give industry status to this sector soon
