WAVES Summit - NVIDIA’s Big Plan for India; AI to Boost Creativity

May 2, 2025 – Richard Kerr from NVIDIA, a top tech company, visited India for the WAVES Summit to share how AI can change movies, gaming, and live events. He believes India is ready to move from just helping others make content to creating its own big projects.

India’s Creative Future
Before, India was known for doing animation and editing work for other countries. Now, with AI tools, Indian studios can also come up with their own ideas. "They already know how to work fast and smart. Now, they can lead in creativity too," Kerr said.

Affordable AI for Everyone
NVIDIA makes tools that work on both small computers (like gaming PCs) and big data centers. Even low-cost devices like Spark can now do high-quality work. "You don’t need expensive machines to make great content anymore," Kerr explained.

Live Events Get Smarter
AI is changing how we watch sports and concerts. Soon, fans may choose camera angles, follow players in real-time, or get instant highlights—all powered by AI.

Faster Filmmaking
New tech lets filmmakers use virtual sets and lighting, saving time and money. This is helpful for India, where movies are made in many languages.

What’s Next?

NVIDIA wants to help India grow as a creative hub. "We love big challenges, and India’s talent is exciting," Kerr said.

In Short:
- AI is helping India create, not just work for others.
- Cheap, powerful tools let small creators make pro-level content.
- Live sports and concerts will become more interactive.
- Faster tech helps filmmakers work smarter.
