NOIDA : After fruitful deliberation and discussions, the last day of the World’s first 10-day digital live international conference-ICAN3 organised by DME Media School witnessed galaxies of eminent academicians and industry experts to sum-up the extravagant event on the valedictory function on June 30, 2020.
The guest of eminence Dr Nakul Parashar, Director, Vigyan Prasar, Department of Science and Technology, Government of India congratulated everyone for managing the event successfully. During his address he said, “Digital learning is the new future and Vigyan Prasar is always up for any collaboration when it comes to learning and teaching”.
The conference saw presence of Dr Vikrant Kishore, Course Director – Film, Television & Animation, School of Communications and Creative Arts, Faculty of Arts and Education, Deakin University, Melbourne, Australia; Mr Akram Houque, Founder Editor, The Policy Times, New Delhi; Dr Joya Chakraborty, Head, Department of Mass Communication and Journalism, Tezpur University, Assam; Dr Asad Nizam, Deputy Director, Electronic Media Production Centre (EMPC), IGNOU.
Prof. Dr Ujjwal K Chawdhury, Pro Vice-Chancellor and Dean, School of Media, communication & Fashion, Adamas University, Kolkata, praising the event and said, “It is very rare for such an event to be conducted, and that too with such gusto.”
In what seemed rather prophetic, Prof Chawdhury quipped, “Now it’s time to experiment the Phygital teaching, i.e. physical plus digital. And this even set foundations to that kind of future”
Mr Akram Houque applauded the event and said, “The way people are given chance to express themselves, is commendable and I am extremely happy to be the media partner of ICAN3.”
Dr Ambrish Saxena, Dean, DME Media School and Organising Secretary, ICAN3 expressed his gratitude to all the stakeholders involved in making the event a grand success. Dr Susmita Bala, Head DME Media School and Convenor, ICAN3 congratulated everyone for their efforts and dedication and promised for more such academic events to be organised in future.
While congratulating the faculty and students of DME Media School for organising the event successfully, Mr Aman Sahni, Vice Chairman, DME, Noida said, “When effort is done, good things follow”.
Hon’ble Justice Bhanwar Singh, Director General, DME, Noida appreciated the discussions and sessions in the 10-day event and said, “lots of relevant topics have been covered. He expressed his interest in seeing further discussion happening on fake news and issues revolving it.
Prof. (Dr) Ravikant Swami, Director, DME, remarked that the e-platform has the potential to give equality to all participants, “Nobody has to leave their houses to be able to attend the event, anyone can join, and everyone is on the same platform.”
To apprise the audience about ICAN3, reports of all sessions including 14 Technical sessions, 3 Master Classes, 3 Panel Discussion, 3 Plenary sessions and 2 Special sessions were read by the faculty members of DME Media School. The event concluded with a vote of thanks by Ms Manmeet Kaur, Assistant Professor, DME Media School.
The exemplary valedictory session was followed by magnificent cultural performances by students and alumni of DME Media School. While Shubhoshree Ghosh, Monica Dhariwal, Tiara Tripathi, Chanchal Dhariwal, and Karan Malhotra enthralled the audience with their energetic dance performances, Nitin Bhardwaj, Dhawal Sareen and Shifa Ansari enchanted everyone with their mesmerising voices. Siddharth Kukrej enacted a brilliant mime act on the impact of COVID-19 on the lives of journalists. Solo dance performance by Manvi Srivastava left every one tapping their feet to her dance number.
Fashion walk by STYLEIT (fashion society of DME) on quarantine theme stole the charm of the cultural evening. DME students, Chanchal Dhariwal, Himanshi Ghanghwani, Aman Chawla, Manvi Srivastava, Saksham Bakshi, Somya Bhaskar, Siddhant Pandey, Ishika Sharm and Tanik Bajaj took part in it.
