Chaotic governance in Dr. D. Y. Patil College of Agribusiness Management - Allegation of NCP Student Congress

Complaint given to Director of Maharashtra Agricultural Education and Research Council

Chaotic governance in Dr. D. Y. Patil College of Agribusiness Management - Allegation of NCP Student Congress

Pune : The Nationalist Student Congress has alleged that the students are facing many difficulties in the Dr. D Y Patil Agricultural Business Management College due to which the students are suffering huge financial loss and heartache and they have complained about that to the Director of Maharashtra Agricultural Education and Research Council Uttam Kadam today.

Scheme of Scholarship Waiver of Students The Government has given the EBC Scholarship to the students studying in the academic year 2021-22 in two installments. The first installment is usually deposited in the college account in November 2021 and then the second installment is  in March. But in this, all the other colleges deposited the money to the student's account as soon as the money came from the government.

However, in DY Patil College despite the students asking, the college has not given the installment of scholarship for five-six months to the students and even after raising the matter to the trustees of the institution, they have getting vague answers from the college administration

After collecting the scholarship, but still they have not been given to the students. The NCP Students Congress alleged that not only the students were not paid, but the language that was not suitable for the students was spoken and it was not just a problem of one batch but that this kind of thing has been going on for many years.

The business of extorting money in the name of fee
At the same time, some objections are being raised by the NCP Students Congress regarding the charging of college fees. 1104 each is generally taken from the students for Student Safety Insurance. But students do not find any evidence in this regard or do not understand whether insurance is taken or not. Also, students are charged Rs 200 each for medical examination, but the students say that they have not been examined even once in four years. Therefore, the NCP also demanded that the college should investigate all these factors and submit its evidence, otherwise appropriate action should be taken against the college.

Government provides various scholarships to socially and economically backward students. It is a form of financial crisis if the educational institutions are holding the scholarships offered by the government without giving any reason. After complaining to the Director of Maharashtra Research and Agriculture Research Department in this regard, he ordered to take action - Somnath Lohar, State Secretary, Nationalist Congress Party

The administration should take action against the educational institutions that exploit the students financially. So that no institution will do injustice to the students in this way - Abhishek Boke, State Vice President Nationalist Youth Congress

NCP Student Congress will stand on the side of the students for the obstacles of the students. Our delegation has requested that the Director of Agriculture should take note of this matter, but if it is not taken note of, then we will take to the streets on behalf of the student body and on behalf of the students - Sunil Gavane, State President, Nationalist Students Congress
