MLA Sunil Shelke raised awareness in Nagpur's winter session on Friday (15th) regarding the substandard work and corruption of water supply schemes under the Jal Jeevan Mission scheme in Maval taluka. The current situation was presented by showing photos of the shoddy work of the schemes. On this, Water Supply Minister Gulabrao Patil had said that if information is given according to the plan, it will be investigated and immediate action will be taken.

MLA Sunil Shelke met Minister Gulabrao Patil on Wednesday (20th) and gave the current status of water schemes through a written letter. Therefore, it is clear that the work of water supply schemes in Maval taluka will be investigated. Therefore, there are indications of strict action against the culprits.

MLA Shelke demands strict action against corruption in works, culprits

Even though there are rivers and dams in Maval taluk, people had to go around for drinking water. MLA Sunil Shelke continuously followed up and got 114 water supply schemes approved, but it is clear that many of the schemes have been done in a poor manner and many of the schemes have expired. is also over. Since there is corruption in these works, MLA Shelke has become aggressive and is continuously pursuing to take strict action against the culprits.

Out of 114 schemes, 87 have started at a very slow pace even after the deadline

The work period of the water schemes has expired and when will the villagers get water? Funds have been made available to supply water to every house under the Jal Jeevan Mission from central and state government funds. Out of 114 schemes in the taluka, only 27 schemes have been completed and work on about 87 schemes is proceeding at a very slow pace even after the deadline and in some places the work is of poor quality.

 Toll payment of officers and contractors

Therefore, the question arises when the villagers will get water. It is seen that the officials and contractors are collecting tolls without taking any responsibility. MLA Shelke had raised the issue on December 11 and demanded a third party audit and then raised the issue and asked for an answer as to when actual action would be taken.
