Indapur Farmers Welcomes Government Decision For Guaranteed Price For Milk

Deepak Kate and Mauli Vanve, President of Shivdharma Foundation, went on hunger strike for ten days in front of Indapur Tehsil Office to get guaranteed price for farmers' milk. Taking cognizance of this hunger strike, the government has announced a guaranteed price of Rs 5 per liter of milk for the farmers. This decision was welcomed by the farmers of Indapur and in this context the agitators expressed their gratitude to the government by anointing them with milk.

At Indapur Government Rest House on Thursday (21st), milk producing farmers and workers of Shivdharma Foundation gathered and cheered welcoming the government's decision.

Speaking on the occasion, President of Shivdharma Foundation Deepak Kate said that the decision taken by the government is welcome. But, this decision should also apply to private milk unions. Milk business is not a side business of the farmer but now it has become the main means of living. There is a meeting with the state president Chandrasekhar Bawankule on December 25. In this meeting, we will discuss various issues of farmers. After that, Deepak Kate has warned that if this decision is not implemented to the private milk unions, then we will protest again.

Chandrakant Gosavi, Karan Singh Dhane Patil, Krishna Kshirsagar, Dadasaheb Bhosle, Vijay Dongre, Vishal Dhumal, Sandeep Dhanve, Pintu Bodke, Akash Borde, Anil Chavan, Sanjay Kirkat, Mahadev Suryavanshi, Rohit Jagdale, Saudagar Khabale, Kiran Salunke etc were present on this occasion.
