Mehbooba hits back at NC, says Omar has divided PAGD, talks will be held with Congress on seat sharing

PDP President Mehbooba Mufti has hit back at Omar Abdullah's statement of not forming an alliance. Mehbooba Mufti said that Omar Abdullah dispersed the PAGD. Omar himself said that he is not in the alliance. The PDP chief said that they are part of the India alliance and talks will be held with Congress on seat sharing.

Mehbooba Mufti has now thrown the ball in Congress's court. He said he would take a decision after consulting the party. Mehbooba Mufti said that she is hurt after NC's decision. Because NC has done what BJP could not do by hurting PAGD. She also said that she will talk to Congress in this regard and will take a decision soon.

Mehbooba said, 'We wanted PAGD to continue but everyone knows who ended this PAGD... We will talk to Congress because we are in the India alliance... PAGD was a democratic alliance but the way It is very disappointing that it is scattered...we should have made a collective effort. We (PDP) made a lot of efforts, but he (Omar Abdullah) announced without any consultation that he will contest on all three seats."

Omar refuses to form alliance with Mehbooba

National Conference (NC) vice president Omar Abdullah on Friday ruled out a seat-sharing alliance with the People's Democratic Party (PDP) for the Lok Sabha elections. He said that he will not compromise with PDP for seat sharing. Omar said these things while addressing a press conference.

Omar Abdullah said that if he had been told earlier that NC would have to partner with PDP, his party would not have joined the India alliance. Omar said that if Rahul Gandhi and Sonia Gandhi say to leave it for Congress, then he would prefer to give the seat to Congress instead of PDP. He claimed that Congress is at number two, while PDP is at number three.
