Objections to the applications of two major candidates in the Sahyadri election
Late night hearing; Out of 251 applications, 17 duplicate applications are invalid, figures of valid applications will be announced today

The scrutiny of the candidacy applications filed for the Sahyadri Cooperative Sugar Factory was held at the election office on Thursday (5th). Out of the 251 candidacy applications filed for this election, 17 applications were duplicate. Therefore, 234 candidacy applications were filed for 21 seats. Out of these, 17 duplicate applications have been rejected.
Also, objections were raised against the applications of Mansingrao Jagdale and Niwasrao Thorat, who are considered to be the main candidates in this election. The results of this objection and the list of candidates found valid in the scrutiny will be announced today, Friday (7th), informed Election Decision Officer Sanjaykumar Sudrik.
A record 157 candidacy applications were filed on Wednesday, the last day for filing candidacy applications for the Sahyadri factory election. The scrutiny of the applications was done on Thursday in the presence of Election Decision Officer Sudrik and Assistant Election Decision Officer Aparna Yadav. A large number of candidates and their supporters were present for this. The scrutiny of the applications was done group-wise. In the scrutiny, 17 applications that were initially filled twice were rejected. Later, some applications were rejected due to insufficient documents and other reasons. Information about this will be given today, Friday (7th).
Meanwhile, while the scrutiny of the applications was going on, Muralidhar Gaikwad objected to the application of Niwas Thorat, while Vasantrao Jagdale objected to the application of Mansingrao Jagdale. Their hearing was held before the Election Decision Officer Sudrik. In it, their lawyers argued in favor of Mansingrao Jagdale and Niwasrao Thorat. After that, the decision of this hearing was not announced till late at night. Due to this, the curiosity of the candidates and their supporters was heightened. Election Adjudicator Sudrik has informed that the results and the list of candidatures that have been found valid after scrutiny will be announced on Friday.
