It was presented at the hands of Hardeep Singh Puri, MoS (Independent Charge), GoI.

The “PMAY-Empowering India Awards 2019” has been conceptualized to seek & recognize the sincere efforts and contributions of private developers/ financial institutions/ industry association in achieving thePrime Minister’s mission of “Housing for All” till 2022 through different PPP models and promoting affordable housing with private investments.

“Being Chairman of the Affordable Housing Committee, CREDAI-National Mr. Shantilal Kataria said that it is overwhelming movement to him that sincere efforts of his team towards Affordable Housing has been recognized & awarded.

CREDAI the apex body of the Developers had singed MoU with the Govt, of India in respect of Construction of 396 Affordable Housing Project at Ahmedabad. On the similar linesCREDAI-Maharashtra has also signed a MoU with the Govt. of Maharashtra for constructing 5 lakh affordable houses in next 5 years. In Maharashtra construction of 4 lakhs up to 30 Sq mtr. and 8 lakhs units upto 60 sq mts carpet area is going on.These housing units will be completed in next 2 to4 years. I had recently undertaken the tour through the State to ascertain the status of the Affordable Housing projects. The work is in good progress and everything will be completed as per target, said ecstatic Shantilal Kataria, President CREDAI Maharashtra and the Chairman of Affordable Housing Committee, CREDAI-National.

In order to educate the fellow developers, CREDAI-Maharashtra has set up ‘Affordable Housing Guidance Forum’ comprising of experts in the field of Affordable Housing. Awareness programs/ workshops were conducted throughout the State, Exclusive legal Assistance Cell, training on construction costing, labour skilling, safety, cost saving measures, research and development in construction material technology, 24×7 affordable housing online support/helpline system has been established. Along with all this the committee was sending e-bulletin to all its 12500 members across the country on every Sunday for the last 52 week covering every aspect of affordable housing projects for the ease of carrying out the construction in this segment.

The dedicated book on Affordable housing by name and style “Housing for All, Policy & Practise” was unveil at the hands of Hon’ble Urban Development Minister Mr. Hardeep Singh Puriin the CREDAI-YouthCon happened at New Delhi at Talkatora Stadium on 14th Feb 2019 in the presence of 3000 developers from across the country.
