This is Thomas Zachariah from Pune, India and I urge you to invest a minute from your lives by staying connected with what I am about to share with you.
Like most of you know I have been associated with corporate organizations for over 25 years and had a successful career. Whilst I was going about my life, somewhere deep down – there was a calling. A keen desire to call it a day from my corporate career by the time I would reach 45 years of age and make life more meaningful by CONTRIBUTING TO THE COMMUNITY IN SOME WAY. Friends, I have actually done that a year back .
None of us are oblivious to the scenario of poverty and misfortune of homeless street children in India. My heart has always reached out to them and in contributing towards the quality of their lives. So while I was at the fag end of my corporate career at Indian Express, I was consciously looking out for any organization that was already doing some work in that area and I came upon GOOD SHEPHERD HOMES . I have a few good friends and their families associated with this organization . I instantly knew that this is where I can make a difference. Kindly refer to their site www.gsh.org.in.
I have been a sales professional all my life and I knew that is my core strength. So directly or indirectly I have been helping all the organisations I have been associated with, in raising funds for them. I am also an outdoors person and love challenging myself physically and mentally. So took it upon myself to use this core strength of mine in an area of my current work with GOOD SHEPHERDS HOME. The project goes this way – I am going to cycle from Pune to Goa (India) a distance of about 500 kms in 5/6 days. I have had a history of two injured knees, however I am training against all odds to make this happen. I commence on 8th February 2019.
Friends I call upon you to be with me in spirit and join hands with me in accomplishing this. I will be consumed by the single objective of contributing towards the quality of life for the street children under the wings of GOOD SHEPHERD HOMES in my cycling journey from Pune to Goa. I hope to sustain my strength with this thought and ask for you to be a part of this challenge and contribute open heartedly till the end of my mission. The funds collected by your generosity will go towards the construction of a boarding school for the underprivileged children by GOOD SHEPHERD HOMES at Parantwadi Talegaon. Their primary school commences in June 2019 and these funds will be used to help out with the infrastructure of the school.

Friends, I would like to thank my wife Priyam who has herself had a successful corporate career and is currently a marathon runner, has submitted completely to my calling of contributing towards the street children.
