Defeat of Afghanistan: 'Biden should resign'
Demand from former President Donald Trump
Washington / News Agency
The Taliban have swallowed up Afghanistan before the withdrawal of US troops from the country, and Afghan President Ashraf Ghani has been forced to flee the country. On this backdrop, former US President Donald Trump has demanded the resignation of current President Joe Biden. The situation in Afghanistan would be considered the biggest defeat in US history, he said.
Trump has said it is time for President Biden to resign, taking responsibility for what is happening in Afghanistan. He also criticized the Biden administration for its policies on local migration, economic and energy policies.
The Taliban have taken control of most of Afghanistan, including the capital Kabul, before the end of August, two decades after US troops returning home. During Trump's tenure, the Trump administration signed an agreement with the Taliban in Doha in 2020. Under the agreement, US troops will withdraw from Afghanistan by May 2021. Earlier, however, the Taliban was required to provide various security guarantees.
Biden extended the withdrawal until August. He also did not impose any conditions on the Taliban when withdrawing US troops. Trump has repeatedly criticized the Biden administration in this regard. If we were president, the withdrawal process would have been different and more successful, he said.
