Global Peace at Risk Due to Rising Conflicts, Warns Union Minister Nitin Gadkari!

Nagpur, Correspondent

Union Minister Nitin Gadkari has raised a grave concern about the rising threat of global conflict, stating that the growing dominance and authoritarianism of world powers could potentially lead to a world war. Speaking at the launch of the book "Beyond Borders", Gadkari emphasized the declining human values of love, harmony, and empathy in society and warned that a massive war could erupt at any moment given the ongoing global tensions.

"India is the land of Gautam Buddha, a land rooted in truth, peace, and non-violence. But today, the world stands on the brink of war. The present situation across several nations points toward the possibility of a major global conflict," said Gadkari, urging that India’s future policies must be formulated after carefully analyzing these international developments.

Modern Warfare Threatens Human Survival

Highlighting the advancements in modern warfare, Gadkari noted that the role of traditional tanks and fighter jets is diminishing. “Today’s warfare is driven by missiles and drones capable of long-range destruction. Unfortunately, their inhumane usage is increasing,” he stated. Gadkari expressed concern that these weapons are not just targeting military establishments but are also being used against civilian areas including residential zones, schools, and hospitals — posing a direct threat to human survival.

Need for Decentralization of Wealth in India

Turning to domestic issues, the Minister said that economic inequality is rising in India. “The number of poor people is increasing while the wealth of a handful of rich individuals continues to grow. The gap between the rich and the poor is widening,” he said. To prevent future economic and social crises, Gadkari emphasized the urgent need for decentralization of wealth in the country.

Gadkari’s remarks come at a time when geopolitical instability is escalating in various parts of the world, prompting leaders and policymakers to re-evaluate strategies to preserve peace and equality.
