Maharashtra Governor Radhakrishnan: Opposition Should Support Mahayuti in VP Polls – Athawale
Mumbai, August 20 ~ Union Minister of State for Social Justice and National President of the Republican Party, Ramdas Athawale, today appealed to Maharashtra Governor C P Radhakrishnan to vote for the Vice-Presidential election along with the ruling grand alliance in Maharashtra, along with the opposition parties Sharad Pawar's Nationalist Congress Party and Uddhav Thackeray's Sena.
Ramdas Athawale has thanked Prime Minister Narendra Modi for selecting Maharashtra Governor C. P. Radhakrishnan as his Vice Presidential candidate.

Today, CP Radhakrishnan filed his nomination for the post of Vice President as the NDA candidate. At that time, all senior leaders including Prime Minister Narendra Modi and the leaders of the NDA constituent parties, Union Minister of State Ramdas Athawale were present. While CP Radhakrishnan was coming out after filing his nomination, Ramdas Athawale shook hands with Prime Minister Narendra Modi and congratulated the Prime Minister by saying Jai Maharashtra for selecting the Governor of Maharashtra as the NDA candidate for the post of Vice President.
Maharashtra Governor CP Radhakrishnan has done good work in Maharashtra and Tamil Nadu as well as across the country. He has studied many subjects well and is aware of many issues. He has done good work for the Dalit, deprived, tribal, Bahujan class. He is a leader with deep social awareness. I have had friendly and good relations with him for many years. Ramdas Athawale said that he congratulated CP Radhakrishnan on being selected for the post of Vice President by the NDA.
Since it is a matter of pride for us to see the Governor of Maharashtra elected as the Vice President, Ramdas Athawale has appealed to all political parties in Maharashtra to forget party differences and vote for C. P. Radhakrishnan in the Vice Presidential election.
