Pune University's Refactory Infested with Worms; Students' Health at Risk; RPI (Athwale Group) Seeks Action
Pune: The shocking incident of worms found in the food served at the refactory of Savitribai Phule Pune University has come to light again. After a student complained about this incident, the Republican Party of India (Athwale Group) Pimpri-Chinchwad city unit met with the Vice-Chancellor and demanded immediate and strict action. Dammratna Gaikwad, Youth City President of RPI (Athwale Group) Pimpri-Chinchwad, submitted a written memorandum to Vice-Chancellor Dr. Suresh Gosavi, demanding immediate action against the culprits. The major demands of RPI include the following:
- Transparency in Tender Process*: The tender process should be transparent.
- Online Tenders*: All tenders should be conducted online.
- No Time Extensions*: There should be no unnecessary time extensions in the tender process.
- -Strict Action: Strict action should be taken against officials who interfere with the tender process in collusion with management officials.
Students' Health at Risk
The incident of worms found in the food served at the university's refactory is unacceptable. The university administration needs to take this incident seriously and take necessary steps to ensure the health and safety of students. The health of students should not be compromised, and the university administration should prioritize their health and safety. If our demands are not met, we will be forced to take agitation, said Dammratna Gaikwad, Youth City President of RPI (Athwale Group) Pimpri-Chinchwad.

The responsibility of ensuring the health and safety of students lies with the university administration. We believe that the administration should take immediate action and protect the health and safety of students, said Krishna Bhandalkar, Governor-nominated member of Savitribai Phule Pune University.
