"Stop This Hooliganism Now" – Anjali Damania Demands Action from CM Fadnavis
Mumbai, Correspondent
Social activist Anjali Damania has strongly urged Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis to put an end to what she described as ongoing hooliganism within the ruling political ranks. She warned of launching a public movement against controversial legislators and ministers including Sanjay Gaikwad, Sanjay Shirsat, Manikrao Kokate, and Yogesh Kadam.
Damania’s criticism comes in the wake of multiple controversies involving these leaders. BJP MLA Sanjay Gaikwad was caught allegedly assaulting a staff member at the MLA hostel canteen over poor-quality food. Meanwhile, a video of Minister Sanjay Shirsat surfaced showing him with a bag full of cash, sparking major concerns. Another viral video shows Manikrao Kokate playing rummy on his mobile phone inside the legislative assembly during an ongoing session.
Damania has demanded that all such controversial ministers be immediately sacked from the cabinet.
She also demanded the immediate arrest of BJP spokesperson Suraj Chavan, who has been accused of assaulting members of the Chhava organization. The group had questioned NCP (Ajit Pawar faction) state president Sunil Tatkare regarding Kokate’s actions. Defending himself on news channels, Suraj Chavan claimed the protesters were using unconstitutional language — to which Damania retorted, “So is physical assault constitutional? Does Chavan even understand the Constitution?”
Damania’s statements have intensified the political heat, raising serious questions about accountability and governance within the current Maharashtra administration
