Kolkata: Supreeth Nagaraju is the Head Education – Digital Media for Adobe Systems, Indian and South Asia and he delivered his speech from Bangalore over the Topic Web Entertainment on the third day of #MediaNext2020.
The conclave is being organized in association with Sharda University, Birla Global University, DME, AIMEC, Lok Samvad Sansthan, exchange4media, ABP Education and IndiaReal.in The mega conclave is being organized over a period of 10 days from June 1, 2020 to June 10, 2020. Each day of the conclave focuses on one specialized domain of the Media and Entertainment (M&E) industry and the impact of the Covid-19 pandemic on that specific domain.
Supreeth Nagaraju, Head Education, Digital Media Adobe, was the last speaker of the Day 3 webinar. “Products don’t sell. The only thing that sells is experiences”, were the opening lines of the technology genius. Ultimately what matters for a brand or platform to grow is how well tuned the brand is to the customer needs, if the brand is able to rise to the ultimate motive of every single strata of the customer segments, and how a brand uses digital as the super-express highway to deliver those cutting aid experiences. Starting from digital platforms to marketing platforms, nothing will have a meaning unless you have very clear digital insights to customers, their behavioural pattern, their personas, their engagement mechanisms, etc. All of these boil down to a fundamental and significant thread- ‘design led innovation’.
He further threw light on the industry trends, and how the digital world is contributing for the same. The first trend is growing chorus, that is not only a part of the IT-Government services, but also a major part of the retail-hospitality sectors. The second trend is that of digital transformation which is not only about B2B or B2C areas, but about resolving quite a few application areas which can solve multiple problems that can hit the lowest denominator of the society at large.
“From the moment you wake up in the morning, till you go to bed at night, digital is very pervasive”, he stated. He then moved on to what ‘design led innovation’, and how technology trends define the design led innovations. The most important aspect of it is the business impact at large. The number of active users because of the design led innovation is not only in millions, but is now touching billions. Mr Nagaraju also explained the digital content lifecycle which consists of five elements- collaborate, create, analyse, action, manage and distribute. He also very efficiently defined the key factors of designing, starting from technical writing to desktop publishing. He also gave several examples of industries that are doing well in sectors like IT/ITes, Digital and Publishing Media, Airlines, Online education/Edtech, etc. where potential students could explore into.
