Pune : Suryadatta Education Foundation has announced a scholarship of Rs 30 lakhs for the young professionals working in different companies for pursuing higher education. Those working at positions below managerial level will be awarded 100 percent scholarships, while those at and above the managerial level will be given a benefit of 50 percent of the scholarship amount. The scholarships could be used to pursue part-time courses affiliated with the Savitribai Phule Pune University (SPPU).
Suryadatta Education Foundation Vice-President Sushma Chordia said that the scholarships are being awarded as part of the Suryadatta Edu-Socio Connect and CSR Initiative.
“This is a golden opportunity for those who are trying to pursue part-time education while working a full-time job. We have announced the scholarship today, on the occasion of the birthday of the President of the Foundation Dr. Sanjay Chordia. This is the 10th consecutive year that we are offering this scholarship. In the last 9 years, over 1200 working professionals have been benefited from scholarships up to Rs 3 crores. Even this time, we have asked over 200 companies to refer their employees for this scholarship,” Chordia said.
To be eligible for this scholarship, one needs to be a graduate working professionally in the age-group of 22 to 50 years.
“Suryadatta Group of Institutes promotes qualitative, research-based, and holistic education. Through this initiative, we will be offering selected individuals a chance to pursue several courses like PGDBAM, PGDFT, PGDMM, PGDFS, etc. affiliated with the SPPU. Individuals working at the positions of project managers, store managers, line leader, senior engineers, hardware-software engineers, assistant branch manager, director, purchase officer, store assistant, superintendent, etc. will be considered for the scholarships,” Chordia added.
The last date to apply for the scholarship is July 31, 2020. Human Resource personnel at companies are expected to send their recommendations by July 20.
