Today's changing technology is creating new challenges in the agricultural sector, so that the farmers of the area can get the information about the new technology, new research and new products under one roof. Md. The grand Krishna Agricultural and Industrial Festival in Western Maharashtra has been organized from 17th to 21st January 2024 at Karad through Krishna Agricultural Council sponsored by Krishna Cooperative Sugar Factory and in collaboration with Krishna Udyog Group. This will be the first international agricultural festival in Karad. Md. Chairman of Krishna Sugar Factory Dr. Suresh Bhosle and BJP's Karad Lok Sabha in-charge Dr. Atul Bhosle said in a press conference on Friday.
He said, the Krishna International Exhibition to be held in Karad is India's first A. C. There will be an agricultural exhibition organized in the hall. We intend to create a comprehensive platform for farmers and citizens to get information about various agricultural schemes and activities of the government, revised agricultural technology, innovative experiences of experimental farmers, market management, agricultural supplementary business etc. Farmers of Krishnakath will be able to experience the Mahamela of successful farmers, agricultural scientists, agricultural technicians and agricultural intellectuals on this occasion, and the opportunity to interact directly with all these experts will also be available on this occasion. Apart from this, with the arrival of grain and food festival, animal, fruit, flower, domestic and foreign vegetable festival, the farmers of all levels will get a unique celebration.
In this 5-day festival, various well-known companies from home and abroad are participating and there are more than 500 stalls of agricultural machinery, nursery and grafted plants, agricultural technology, food processing hall, grain festival, small scale industries, success stories, government departments, women's self-help groups, etc., international flower show, international fruit show. , various programs like Vegetable Show, Demonstration Seminar, Adarsh Gaon will be organized.
A special hall of exotic vegetables will be set up in the vegetable festival organized in this festival. In which live samples and crops of vegetables from 28 different countries will be kept. Customers coming to see the exhibition along with the farmers will be able to buy rice, wheat, sorghum, pulses, currants, turmeric, spices through the concept of direct sales from farmers to consumers. For this, a special hall will be constructed in the grain festival and farmers' stalls will be set up in it.
Maharashtra Government's Agriculture Department, Satara Zilla Parishad, Maharashtra State Marketing Board, Seed Corporation, Agriculture Industrial Development Corporation, Vakhar Corporation, Udyog Development Corporation, Annasaheb Patil Economic Development Corporation will be specially involved in this festival. The special halls of the schemes are going to be realized here. Through this, farmers can get information about various departments and schemes of the government.
A special air-conditioned hall will be set up for the flower festival, and farmers will get to see native and exotic flowers and plants in this hall. Demonstrations of vertical farming, protected farming, soilless farming, drone spraying and other agro industrial tools will also be presented on this occasion. Crop competition, flower competition, food festival are organized in the exhibition. Also, various cultural programs will be organized for three days, for which a grand canopy will be erected at the festival site. This exhibition will be held at Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Stadium.
