West Bengal Congress Committee President Adhir Ranjan has taken a dig at Prime Minister Narendra Modi's visit to Bengal. On Saturday he asked why PM Modi felt the need to visit Bengal again and again. Questions have been raised on PM Modi's frequent visits to the state. Adhir Ranjan said that if BJP is confident about the increasing support in Bengal, then why does the PM need to visit again and again.

Announcement on seat sharing will be made soon – Adhir Ranjan
Adhir Ranjan said it takes time to assess the situation in each state and discuss with the concerned units before taking a decision. He assured that the announcement regarding seat sharing will be made at the right time, indicating that there is no rush and the Congress is ready for the upcoming elections.

Delay is not a cause for concern – Adhir Ranjan Chaudhary
It is noteworthy that PM Modi had earlier visited southern parts of Bengal on March 1 and 6, including a rally in Barasat near Kolkata, where he criticized the ruling TMC on the Sandeshkhali issue. Meanwhile, amidst the ongoing discussion on seat sharing between Congress and its ally Left parties in the 'India' alliance, he said that initial talks had just taken place and the delay is not a cause for concern.
