Shirol – Renowned legal expert Adv. Asim Sarode visited Nandani today to examine the legal aspects surrounding the relocation of the elephant Madhuri from the Vantara sanctuary. During his visit, he also paid respects at the ancient Jain Math in Nandani and held an in-depth discussion with Swastishri Bhattarak Pattacharya Mahaswami.
The dialogue focused on possible legal measures, public interest litigations, and environmental laws that could be used to bring Madhuri back to Nandani. Adv. Sarode, known for his successful interventions in environmental and wildlife conservation cases, has given new hope to the local residents with his visit.
The meeting was attended by Swabhimani Shetkari Sanghatana leader and former MP Raju Shetti, along with local organization members, villagers, and activists campaigning for Madhuri’s return. Madhuri, a beloved presence in Nandani for many years, was recently relocated, causing deep resentment among the locals.
Speaking to the media, Adv. Sarode stated, “We are thoroughly examining all legal avenues to bring Madhuri back. A suitable legal course of action will be initiated soon.” His statement has reinvigorated the legal efforts to ensure Madhuri’s return to her original home.
