After a long wait, Ola Group has announced the launch date of its electric scooter in the Indian market. The two-wheeler will be launched on August 15, India's 75th Independence Day, said Bhavesh Agarwal, President and CEO of the company.

The new vehicle will be presented in 10 different colors. The scooter will also be available in a combination of colors such as red, yellow and pink, blue and black, silver and white. The company has recently acquired the trademarks of Series S, S1 and S1 Pro. These trademarks will be used for different types of the company's upcoming electric scooters.

Registration for the Ola Electric Scooter has been going on for a few days now. This scooter is getting huge response from the customers and in just 24 hours, over 1 lakh customers have registered their demand. Customers can register for the scooter on the company's website for just Rs 499. Between January and June 2021, India sold 30,000 electric two-wheelers. Against this backdrop, the response to the registration of Ola electric scooters is remarkable.

This scooter can travel 100 to 150 kilo meters on a single charge; This is being predicted. It will have various features like removable battery, digital instrument console, cloud connectivity, alloy wheels, telescopic suspension. An earlier video released by the company claimed that there is plenty of space to put luggage under the seat, good acceleration and the highest range compared to this type of vehicle. However, detailed technical information has not been released yet.

The Ola Electric Scooter manufacturing plant is located in Tamil Nadu and has the capacity to produce 10 million two-wheelers a year. The project will have 10 assembly lines and one bike will be generated from each assembly line every second. The project will produce 25,000 vehicles per day. Apart from selling two-wheelers in India, vehicles will also be exported to Europe, England, Latin America, Asia Pacific countries, Australia and New Zealand.
