Leave our name aside but Boramani airport should be built; Sushilkumar Shinde's demand
Solapur, Correspindent : How long will the airport inside Solapur city last? We will not stand in the way. The power is theirs, they should pave the way. We did not take credit for any work. We tried for Boramani airport. We gave land. Leave our name aside, but for the development of Solapur city, Boramani airport should be an international level airport, former Union Home Minister Sushilkumar Shinde expressed his hope here today. Editor Prashant Mane is a thoughtful journalist. He stated on the occasion that his book “People-oriented Journalism” is worth reading and will be a guide for new journalists.
The book "People-oriented Journalism" written by journalist Prashant Mane and published by Jagruti Prakashan was released today at the Heritage Garden on Hotgi Road, Gandhinagar, with the chief guests being former Union Home Minister Sushil Kumar Shinde, former Deputy Chief Minister of the state Vijaysinh Mohite-Patil, senior lawyer Adv. Dhananjay Mane, Executive Director of Dainik Tarun Bharat Dilip Pethe, senior editor and receptionist Raja Mane. He was speaking on the occasion.
Former Union Home Minister Sushilkumar Shinde further said, "Those who think they will win in elections, lose. The people of Solapura elected me as an MP twice on a general seat, but I was defeated on a reserved seat. We worked effectively. People did not accept it. We should work without getting upset. We are doing that. We should reflect in democracy. Solapur has a great legacy of scholarly journalists including Rangaanna Vaidya. Rangaanna Vaidya set an example for the past and present generation of how journalism should be. A journalist should be an enlightener. Similarly, journalist Prashant Mane is a reflective journalist. He has presented in his book what he has experienced and written in his thirty years of journalism. His thoughts are of social equality. While doing journalism, people should be given what they want in public life. Journalist Mane has done such a useful job of providing news," said former minister Sushilkumar Shinde.
Former Deputy Chief Minister Vijaysinh Mohite said in his speech that Balshastri Jambhekar educated and enlightened the people through the newspaper Darpan. Journalist Prashant Mane's book will be a guide for new journalists. Despite not having a legacy of journalism, he raised many questions through his journalism in thirty years. He highlighted the irregularities in the schemes of the revenue department. The Chief Minister and Deputy Chief Minister took note of it. There were discussions on it. Action was taken to deposit the subsidy directly into the bank account. This showed that journalists can also do good things.
Dilip Pethe, Executive Director of Dainik Tarun Bharat, praised the work of Prashant Mane and said that his books have brought honor to Dainik Tarun Bharat.
