Former Minister Ashok Patil Dongavkar Passes Away After Prolonged Illness

Former Minister of State Ashok Patil Dongavkar, who had a successful political journey from village sarpanch to state minister, passed away today after a prolonged illness. He played a significant role in the development of Gangapur taluka, and his demise has cast a pall of gloom over the region. His last rites will be performed tomorrow.
Dongavkar's political career spanned several decades, during which he served as a sarpanch, Zilla Parishad member, MLA, and Minister of State. He was known for his consistent efforts to promote the development of Gangapur taluka. He also served as the president of Bhagirathi Education Society and Mukteshwar Education Society, and as a director of the District Central Co-operative Bank and the Land Development Bank. Dongavkar raised his voice on several key issues affecting the Marathwada region.
He was the father of Shevgaon-Pathardi MLA Monika Rajale and Kiran Patil Dongavkar, a director at the Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar District Central Co-operative Bank. Dongavkar had been battling a severe illness for the past eight years.
