Mumbai : The Jio World Convention Centre in Mumbai pulsed with creative energy as the Edutainment Show presented its captivating panel discussion, "Design Catalyst: Decoding Careers in Design." Held over two days, April 12th and 13th, the event assembled a diverse group of design luminaries.

First up, moderator Nisha Chanda introduced the powerhouse panel: Dr. Binish Desai, the "Recycle Man of India," Firoz Shaikh, founder of 8bledutch, Harsh Kedia, the Diabetic Chef, Anmol Kakad, a celebrated fashion designer known for her inclusive and timeless creations, and Ishaan Dass, Head of Design at Noise.

Dr. Desai wasted no time, emphasizing the importance of building genuine connections. He stressed that networking goes beyond superficial interactions, urging aspiring designers to forge relationships with depth. Firoz Shaikh echoed this sentiment, highlighting the power of teamwork. He explained how collaboration is instrumental in crafting exceptional customer experiences.

Day two shifted the focus to the ever-present world of social media. Anmol Kakad, whose brand proudly declares "Sexy is not a size," offered a refreshing perspective. She cautioned against the inauthenticity often prevalent on social media platforms. While acknowledging the potential for online connections, she emphasized that a designer's work should always be the focal point.

Harsh Kedia, the Diabetic Chef, then shared a heartwarming story. A celebrity endorsement on LinkedIn catapulted his business forward, showcasing the power social media holds for design students.

The conversation then delved into the intriguing realm of Artificial Intelligence (AI) and its impact on design. Firoz Shaikh shed light on AI's inevitable influence on the Indian market. He pointed to the growing use of AI in media houses, particularly for visual effects.

As the panel drew to a close, each speaker left the aspiring design minds in the audience with a potent message. Dr. Desai urged them to dream with ambition. Firoz Shaikh empowered them with the declaration, "You are all superstars!" Harsh Kedia championed continuous pursuit of improvement. Anmol Kakad encouraged them to embrace their individuality with a resounding "Be you!" Ishaan Dass left the audience with a final call to action: "Chase excellence."
