Dharamsala (Himachal Pradesh)- The National President of the Republican Party, Union Minister of State for Social Justice N. Ramdas Athawale today met the World Buddhist Dhammaguru Dalai Lama at Dharamsala (Himachal Pradesh). Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar Dhammadiksha Ceremony will be held at Mahalakshmi Race Course Ground in Mumbai on 16th December 2023. Ramdas Athawale invited Reverend Dhamma Guru Dalai Lama to attend the World Dhamma Conference organized by the committee as chief guest. On this occasion, Ambedkari from Maharashtra; I want to communicate with Buddhist people. Therefore, the Reverend Dhammaguru Dalai Lama accepted the Dhamma Parishad invitation given by Mr. Ramdas Athavale saying that I will definitely attend the Dhamma Parishad held in Mumbai. On this occasion, Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar Dhammadiksha Celebration Committee General Secretary Avinash Kamble, Treasurer Padmashri Kalpana Saroj were present along with Mr. Ramdas Athavale. .
The great man Dr.Babasaheb Ambedkar conducted a historic Dhammachakra exercise in Nagpur on 14th October 1956. Dr.Babasaheb along with millions of followers took Dhammadiksha.After that Dr.Babasaheb Ambedkar had expressed his resolve to organize a Dhammadiksha ceremony at Mahalakshi Race Course Ground in Mumbai on 16th December 1956. Earlier on December 6, 1956, the great man Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar passed away. Therefore, his resolution to organize Dhammadiksha ceremony at Mahalakshmi Race Course ground remained incomplete. To fulfill that resolution, the historical Dhamma Parishad was organized on December 16, 2023 at Mahalakshmi Race Course in Mumbai, according to Ramdas Athawale. Reverend Dhammaguru Dalai Lama assured. Reverend Dhammaguru Dalai Lama assured Mr. Ramdas Athawale that he will definitely attend this World Dhamma Conference.
World Dharma Guru Dalai Lama congratulated Mr. Ramdas Athavale for his election as the International Honorary Vice President of the World Fellowship of Buddhists in Bangkok recently.
In the world, there is a mass production of deadly weapons. These deadly weapons must be destroyed. The weapons of the principle of peace must be created in the world. Ahimsa and peace will lead to human welfare. So Buddha is needed. Dalai Lama preached that peace is very important in Buddhism. Although I come from Tibet, I am Indian. The Dalai Lama said on this occasion that I am proud to be an Indian.
Ramdas Athawale told His Holiness Dalai Lama that the Buddhist people respect him as a global Buddhist Dhammaguru.
