In Shirur Lok Sabha Constituency, a picture is being seen that former MP and Leader of Shiv Sena (Shinde group) Shivajirao Adharao Patil is stronger than the current MP Dr. Amol Kolhe. Patil has travelled a lot in the villages of Shirur Lok Sabha Constituency and it can be seen from his village visits that his popularity has increased as before. However, the current MP Dr. Amol Kolhe, who is in the group of the senior leader of the Nationalist Congress Party, Sharad Pawar, is getting little response from the public. Amol Kolhe's popularity seems to be decreasing.
In the 2019 Lok Sabha elections, Dr. Amol Kolhe won the Shirur Lok Sabha constituency by playing the caste card with the new face of the Nationalist Congress Party and actor. But after that Kolhe did not keep much contact with the people in this constituency, even after the defeat, the former MP Shivajirao Adharao Patil always remained in touch with the people. In the last four years, Athir Rao visited every village in Shirur Lok Sabha Constituency and made a conscious effort to understand the problems of the people and solve them.
Currently, the trumpets of the upcoming Lok Sabha 2024 elections have already started sounding. Accordingly, if we listen to the speeches of the MP Dr. Amol Kolhe who is in the Sharad Pawar group in the last few months, many controversial statements and the language of creating confusion among the people can be seen in his speeches. A few days ago, Dr. Kolhe gave a speech in the presence of Sharad Pawar in Satara. In those speeches, he mentioned the Ram temple of Ayodhya and the saints of Maharashtra. He said that although there is a slogan of Sri Rama in the north, there is a slogan of Sri Panduranga in Maharashtra. While mentioning the above, he deliberately tried to create a rift in the society by comparing Sri Ram Prabhu and Varkari Sampradaya. Due to his speech, confusion spread in the society.
It can be seen that MP Dr. Amol Kolhe has consistently made speeches appeasing Sharad Pawar after the separation of Sharad Pawar and Ajit Pawar in the last few days. There is a deliberate attempt to make Pawar his own by making statements that spread division in the society. After the then confidant of Pawar, Dilip Valse Patil, joined the Ajit Pawar group, MP Kolhe tried to indirectly criticize Valse Patal. There is an opinion.
On the other hand, former MP and Shiv Sena deputy leader of Eknath Shinde group, Shivajirao Adar Rao Patil has deliberately avoided criticizing the leaders of the opposition party. Even today, the work of Adha Rao is continuing unabated by understanding the obstacles of the people and solving them. If we look at the current political picture in Shirur Lok Sabha Constituency, it can be seen that Adha Rao Patel has again created his place in the mind of the people in Shirur Lok Sabha Constituency.
In the upcoming elections of 2024, the candidacy of Adha Rao in the Shirur Lok Sabha constituency in the Shinde-Fadnavis-Pawar government is considered certain and it is also said that the current MP of the Sharad Pawar group, Dr. Amol Kolhe, will enter the fray against him. It is strongly felt that former MP and Shiv Sena deputy leader of the Shinde faction, Adha Rao Patil, has a stronger political profile than Amol Kolhe.
