Preliminary information from sources recieved that the central investigation agencies raided the Baramati Agro Ltd located at Pimpli (Baramati), but no official confirmation has been received from the company administration or the company's owner MLA Rohit Pawar.
It is understood that the central investigation agency has reached the company on Friday (5th) morning. However, no more information has been received about this raid. Also, the officials of the Central Investigation Agency could not be contacted. MLA Rohit Pawar is the CEO of the company.
The head office of the company is located at Pimpli in Baramati taluka. Baramati Agro has a private sugar factory at Shetphalgade in Indapur taluka and and at Kannad in Marathwada, thousands of people were provided employment through this company, and many farmers have been connected with this company through poultry farming business.
MLA Rohit Pawar has come into the limelight in state politics through Sangharsh Yatra since last few days. The aggressive stance taken by him during the Sangharsh Yatra during the Nagpur winter session, meanwhile his criticism of the state and central government has been well known in the media.
Against this background, the raid at the office of Baramati Agro, which is related to him, has again come into discussion. Many expressed their reaction on the condition of anonymity that it is not appropriate to target an industry that provides employment to many for political reasons.
