Punyadham Ashram organizes Ganesh Utsav Special Program in Yerwada Prison

Punyadham Ashram believes that all should realise their mistakes, repent & then reform themselves. So on Saturday, 7^th Sept a special program for Ganesh Utsav was organized by Punyadham Ashram in the Gents’ jail at the humble request of the Superintendant of Yerwada Jail, Shri U T Pawar. 

Bindu Shah & her melodious group presented a superb program which was an excellent mix of old and new Hindi & Marathi songs and bhajans of Lord Ganesha. The inmates also joined in with the clapping & singing in chorus.

Shri Pawar shared with everyone how so much noble work is done through Punyadham with Maa Krishna’s guidance & blessings. He also expressed his deepest gratitude to Maa and all in Punyadham for providing such valuable service, whether it was in form of devotional & spiritual programs, the medical camps in both Women’s & Gents’ Jail or during Diwali providing new clothes for little children incarcerated with their mothers in jail.

Maa in her address thanked Shri Pawar for his cooperation for allowing Punyadham to serve the inmates and said that she found the environment inside the jail so positive that whenever they enter it seems more like they have come to a college with so much learning and discipline and that Shri Pawar is like the Principal who takes such good care of his pupils with the help of his efficient staff. She prayed that they should work hard and once they are in the outside world they should strive to be good, sincere human beings with the ‘best results’!

Maa also thanked Chief Coordinator- Amita Baindur for organizing such a wonderful program which was enjoyed by everyone. After a loud round of applause from everyone present, one of the inmates came up in front to thank Maa for time and again arranging such beautiful events, which keep them healthy, happy and refreshed for days together. He requested that such programs be organized more frequently.

After the very successful bhajan program everyone was filled with bliss, having extended so much happiness and spirituality into the lives of the inmates.
