Ahmedabad Plane Crash: 265 people have died so far in Ahmedabad plane crash; 24 students and doctors of a medical college included

An Air India plane flying from Ahmedabad to London crashed yesterday. The death toll in this accident has increased. So far, 265 people have died. 241 passengers and crew members on board the plane have also died. But not only that, the aircraft crashed into a nearby medical college hostel, killing 24 people.


The pilot gave a “Mayday” call within moments of the plane taking off from Ahmedabad airport. The call said, “No thrust, power loss, unable to lift”. Within moments, the plane crashed directly into the hostel building without taking off. The time of the plane crash was lunchtime. Many students and doctors were present in the hostel mess. Due to this, 24 people have died due to being buried in the rubble of the building during the accident. All of them were students or doctors of B.J. Medical College.

According to the information given by ABP Asmita Editor Raunak Patel, “All the bodies that have arrived at the Civil Hospital are so burnt that it has become challenging to identify them. The total number of all the bodies has reached 265.”


Citizens from all over the country have expressed grief after seeing the CCTV footage, drone views, and photos on social media of this accident. Thrilling videos of the accident and photos of the burnt part of the mess are currently being shared widely on social media. Air India has also expressed a deep sense of grief over this accident. The company has assured all acquired help given to the families of the victims. Prime Minister Narendra Modi and UK Prime Minister Keir Starmer have also expressed their condolences. The NTSB (US), AAIB (UK) and DGCA (India) will jointly investigate the accident.
