Solapur: Today is a historic day for the people of Solapur. Today, the Solapur to Goa flight service is starting from Solapur airport. Therefore, Solapur district has been connected to the country's airspace. This will give a big boost to the economic development of Solapur district. Also, Union Minister of State for Aviation, Muralidhar Mohol, assured that the Solapur to Mumbai flight service will be started in the first week of August.
Union Minister of State for Aviation, Muralidhar Mohol, was guiding the inauguration ceremony of the Solapur to Goa flight service organized at the Airport Authority premises. On this occasion, Guardian Minister Jaykumar Gore, MP Praniti Shinde, MP Dhairyasheel Mohite Patil, District Collector Kumar Ashirwad, Police Commissioner M. Rajkumar, Solapur Municipal Commissioner Sachin Ombase and other dignitaries were present.
On this occasion, Union Minister of State for Civil Aviation Muralidhar Mohol said, “Solapur is the hub connecting the South-West region, as well as an important place for Marathwada and Western Maharashtra, and the air service started from here will play an important role in the development of Solapur and this region. He said that the border districts of Karnataka and Telangana will also benefit from this.
Airlines first think about whether they can get financial benefits from starting passenger transport from a city. Only then is the air service started. Air service to Goa has started from today, but efforts are being made to start this air service for Mumbai in the first week of August. Muralidhar Mohol informed that just as air service has started for Goa due to the tireless efforts of Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis, this service will also be started for Mumbai soon.
This air service for Tirupati, Hyderabad and Bangalore will soon be started from Solapur Airport under the Central Government's flight scheme. Also, to avoid technical problems regarding air clarity at this airport, a dewall system will be installed He also said that work will be done in the future to provide night landing facilities.
Guardian Minister Jayakumar Gore said that today is a happy day for Solapur and it is important for the growth of Solapur's industry, business and tourism. In the first phase, the service is starting in Goa and it will be possible to travel by air to all places in the country and abroad from Goa. He demanded that the Mumbai air service be started soon. The Guardian Minister appreciated the follow-up done by the people's representatives of Solapur district, District Collector Kumar Ashirwad, journalists and Vikas Manch to start this air service.
Solapur Airport Authority Director Chandresh Vanzara, in his introduction, gave information about the various works done for the Solapur airport. Stating that air connectivity is important for development, he said that everyone's efforts have been fruitful in starting this air service.
Boarding passes for five passengers
Five passengers from Solapur who traveled in today's inaugural flight were given boarding passes by Union Minister of State for Aviation Muralidhar Mohol Boarding passes were given in a representative manner. These include Chetan Lodha, Balkrishna Doddi, Shivaji Suravase, Preeti Shinde and Ketan Shah. Also, passengers arriving at Solapur Airport from Goa on a Fly 91 flight were welcomed with a wreath.

All public representatives, administrative officers and other dignitaries were present on this occasion. This flight service will be available four days a week. On this occasion, tree plantation was done by the dignitaries in the airport area.
