Demand to Cancel Registration of Newspaper Allegedly Involved in Extortion Attempts!

A demand has been made to cancel the registration of a newspaper edited by Ravindra Kotambkar, who is accused of making baseless allegations against officers from the Scheduled Castes, Scheduled Tribes, and other backward communities to extort money. A formal memorandum has been submitted to the Registrar of Newspapers for India (RNI) in Delhi through the office of the Sub-Divisional Officer.

Copies of the memorandum have also been submitted to the Superintendent of Police and the District Collector of Wardha, according to sources.

The memorandum states that over 40 criminal and civil cases have been registered against Ravindra Kotambkar in various districts across Maharashtra. Attention to this matter was drawn to Superintendent of Police Anurag Jain and Police Inspector Rajesh Patil, who assured the delegation that the case would be forwarded to higher authorities for immediate action.

The delegation comprised Namdevrao Nikose (Vice President, Kastaiyab Karmachari Kalyan Mahasangh), Narayan Bagde (National President, Ambedkari Republican Morcha), Prof. Ramesh Duppare (President, Progressive Journalists Council), Bablu Kadbe (President, Social Revolution Forum), Jaidev Chivande (President, SC/ST Officers and Employees Welfare Federation), and Dharma Bagde (Wardha In-charge, Ambedkari Republican Morcha).
