Statewide Protection Campaign Launched for Scheduled Caste and Tribe Officers!
Mumbai | Ramesh Autade
In several parts of Maharashtra, officers and employees from Scheduled Castes and Tribes are reportedly facing severe challenges, including attempts to defame them with false allegations. To bring attention to such injustice and draw the government’s focus toward this issue, the Ambedkari Republican Morcha, Matang Morcha, and Mahila Morcha have jointly launched a State-Level Protection Campaign for SC/ST Officers and Employees, announced Narayan Bagde, National President of the Ambedkari Republican Morcha.
He cited a recent incident involving Sukeshni Telgote, Assistant Commissioner of Social Welfare, Nagpur Division, who was allegedly the target of a caste-based attempted murder by miscreants harboring communal hatred. Bagde emphasized that such caste-motivated attacks are not isolated and are increasingly being observed in various government and semi-government offices across the state.
“If the government fails to provide adequate protection to these officers and employees, our activists will take up the responsibility through this protection campaign,” Bagde stated.
The press conference was attended by notable figures including Mamasahib Meshram, Bablu Kadbe, Dharma Bagde, Raju Dada Panjare, Manohar Ingole, Suraj Dhone, Punyashil Bodile, Baby Ingole, Rashmi Rangari, Prof. Ramesh Duppare, Adv. Milind Khobragade, and Shalik Bangar.
